Qualification: This is a professional position, and as such, we require, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Management Science, Business administration, or a related field, or an advanced educational background equating to the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.
Job Description:
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate cross-functional project activities across procurement and IT initiatives to ensure on-time and within-scope delivery, including software systems, digital signage, and automation platforms.
- Assign responsibilities and manage deliverables for internal project team members and vendor partners to ensure clear accountability and execution across all phases.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders in IT, engineering, safety, and operations to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and performance metrics.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project plans, including timelines, resource allocations, budgets, risks, and dependencies for technology rollouts and procurement lifecycles.
- Draft, manage, and coordinate technical Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and vendor bids for enterprise-level tools such as Passenger Counting Systems, Root Cause Analysis Tools, and Training Platforms.
- Identify and select vendors or consultants aligned with project requirements, and facilitate the onboarding process, ensuring compliance with MBTA contractual and regulatory frameworks.
- Negotiate commercial and legal terms with suppliers and project stakeholders to secure favorable outcomes aligned with budgetary constraints and lifecycle objectives.
- Monitor project milestones and track vendor performance using internal systems to evaluate adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and scope agreements.
- Analyze cost models, market data, and project outcomes to drive value-based decision-making and continuous improvement across sourcing projects.
- Ensure compliance with organizational, state, and federal regulations, including cybersecurity, environmental sustainability, accessibility standards, and internal governance policies.
- Utilize enterprise tools (e.g., FMIS, ERP systems, DocuSign) for requisition management, digital approvals, and contract lifecycle administration.
- Facilitate recurring project status meetings, document key updates, and prepare formal reports and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Propose and review changes to project plans in response to evolving business requirements, ensuring agile adaptation while maintaining project integrity and scope.
